Overview
Mercury is building a bank that requires architectural coherence across every engineering, product, design, and data team. As Head of Technical Program Management, Banking, you will be the master builder who holds the whole program in their head, sequences the work, and makes sure it all stands up.
Responsibilities
- Act as the control center for all banking workstreams, including core banking build, compliance, and operations
- Sequence the work and ensure that it all aligns with the company’s goals and objectives
- Hold the entire structure of the program in your head, reconciling the ambitions of the team with the physics of load-bearing walls
- Lead the technical program management team to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, design, and data, to ensure that all aspects of the program are aligned and cohesive
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the banking industry, including regulatory requirements and industry trends
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical program management, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
- Strong understanding of software development, engineering, and technical operations
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire high-performing teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to think strategically and make decisions that align with the company’s goals and objectives
