Overview
Marqeta is seeking an experienced Corporate/Opex Finance Manager to own a critical slice of the company’s operating expense and headcount planning end-to-end. As a trusted finance partner, you will serve a functional leader while helping build the systems and rigor Corporate FP&A needs at public-company scale.
Responsibilities
- Own opex forecasting and management for your area, building the monthly forecast and understanding every driver of spend.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business partners and FP&A leadership, including the model itself and the reporting that keeps them current.
- Work closely with your manager and the broader FP&A team to build and improve systems as they mature.
- Take ownership of opex forecasting and management, knowing the story behind the numbers well enough to defend them in any room.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and provide financial insights.
- Help build and improve financial models, reports, and systems to support business decisions.
Requirements
- Experience in corporate finance, financial planning, and analysis.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with business partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive business outcomes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
