Overview
We are seeking an experienced Remote Software Engineer – Ruby to join our team at Turing, where you will contribute to building LLM evaluation and training datasets to train LLMs on realistic software engineering problems. As a tech lead level engineer, you will be responsible for hands-on software engineering work, including development environment automation, issue triaging, and evaluating test coverage and quality.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of LLM evaluation and training datasets to train LLMs on realistic software engineering problems
- Work on building verifiable SWE tasks based on public repository histories using a synthetic approach with a human-in-the-loop
- Expand dataset coverage to include different types of tasks across programming languages and difficulty levels
- Perform development environment automation, issue triaging, and evaluate test coverage and quality
- Collaborate with the team to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality code standards
Requirements
- Experience as a software engineer (tech lead level) with a strong background in Ruby
- Familiarity with high-quality public GitHub repositories
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices
- Experience with development environment automation, issue triaging, and test coverage evaluation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
