Job Overview
The Centralized Research Group (CRG) partners closely with Global Investment Banking (GIB), Global Corporate Banking (GCB), and Commercial Banking (CB) teams to provide tailored financial solutions for Mergers & Acquisitions, Equity/Debt capital raising, Credit, Treasury, Cash Management, Trade, and Markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing and Deal Support: Collaborate with colleagues in Mumbai and other regions to prepare materials like company profiles, public information brochures, benchmarking analysis, earnings summaries, and competitor analysis. Support execution projects globally.
- Financial Analysis: Learn to analyze financial statements, create trading and transaction comparables, valuation models, and perform financial benchmarking for companies.
- Research: Source and interpret company and industry information from various sources such as company reports, databases, and J.P. Morgan’s proprietary content. Track specific industries for developments and potential business opportunities.
- Industry/Product Coverage: Work with teams globally to analyze industry and market fundamentals, assess economic conditions, competitive landscapes, and emerging risks and trends. Track clients, sectors, and product themes to pitch ideas and new opportunities.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution with strong academic performance and an interest in finance.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to articulate thoughts clearly.
- Attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality output under pressure. Capable of multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- A strong team player with integrity, capable of working across global teams. Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Awareness of banking services, experience in financial modeling, and familiarity with MS Office applications are advantageous.
- Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and ensuring regulatory compliance.
