Overview
Airbnb is seeking an experienced Android Software Engineer to join its Quality Platform team, working remotely from Brazil. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in building the infrastructure that prevents bugs and empowers thousands of engineers across Airbnb to ship with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable Android applications that meet the needs of Airbnb’s growing user base
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Mobile Infrastructure, Developer Experience, and Applied AI, to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and implement automated testing strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of Android applications
- Work closely with engineers across Airbnb to identify and resolve technical issues, providing guidance and support as needed
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall codebase
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to continuously improve Airbnb’s Android applications
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Android software development, with a strong focus on quality and reliability
- Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin, with experience in developing scalable and maintainable Android applications
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and collaborate with others to resolve them
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and methodologies, such as JUnit and Espresso
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
