Overview

Airbnb is seeking an experienced Android Software Engineer to join its Quality Platform team. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in building the infrastructure that prevents bugs and empowers thousands of engineers across Airbnb to ship with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications that meet the needs of Airbnb’s hosts and guests
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Mobile Infrastructure, Developer Experience, and Applied AI
• Develop and implement automated testing frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of Airbnb’s Android applications
• Work closely with engineers across Airbnb to identify and resolve technical issues and improve the overall developer experience
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Android development and apply this knowledge to continuously improve Airbnb’s Android applications

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Android software development
• Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin and experience with Android SDK
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
