Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance highly scalable and reliable software systems for Google Search.
- Solve complex technical challenges related to data processing, information retrieval, ranking algorithms, and user experience.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX designers, and other engineers across different Google offices.
- Contribute significantly to code reviews, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to engineering best practices.
- Lead discussions on technical designs, architectural choices, and project roadmaps for significant features.
- Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability, continuously identifying and implementing improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on large-scale systems.
- Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Expertise in one or more general-purpose programming languages like C++, Java, Python, or Go.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud computing, and high-volume data processing.
