Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Confluent team at IBM, Bengaluru. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications. You will work closely with our team of engineers to build high-quality software solutions that meet our customers’ needs.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software applications using Confluent technologies such as Kafka, KSQL, and Confluent Control Center
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain software applications, including troubleshooting and debugging
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that the code is of high quality and adheres to industry standards
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Confluent technologies and trends, and apply this knowledge to improve our software applications
- Work with the QA team to identify and resolve software defects
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Confluent technologies
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
