Senior PHP Developer – Night Shift (On‑Site, Individual Contributor)
Location: Noida – Sector 62
Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 :30 p.m. – 6 :30 a.m. IST
Work Mode: 100 % in‑person (remote or hybrid work is not available)
Role Overview
We need an experienced PHP engineer who can independently build, enhance, and troubleshoot high‑traffic web applications and e‑commerce sites. This is a hands‑on development role—you will own the full stack from pixel‑perfect front‑end interfaces through to server configuration and deployment on AWS. You will collaborate with a small cross‑functional team (design, marketing, analytics) and may be responsible for mentoring or people management.
Core Responsibilities
Back‑End Development
- Develop, refactor, and maintain applications in CodeIgniter 4 and core PHP 8+
- Design efficient MySQL schemas, optimise queries, and implement MongoDB aggregation where required
- Create and consume REST/JSON APIs and third‑party integrations
- Demonstrated expertise integrating and optimising video players (HTML5, HLS/DASH) in PHP applications—including adaptive streaming, CDN configuration, and performance tuning for high‑traffic environments.
Front‑End Implementation
- Convert designs to responsive pages using Bootstrap 5, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS
- Ensure cross‑browser, cross‑device compatibility and basic accessibility
CMS & E‑commerce
- Customise WordPress themes/plugins and WooCommerce features
- Build and tweak Shopify Liquid templates and apps
- Implement end‑to‑end conversion tracking (GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel, etc.)
Cloud & Server Management
- 5 + years professional experience in PHP development (CodeIgniter and core PHP)
- Proficiency with MySQL query optimisation and MongoDB document design
- Solid grasp of AWS cloud hosting and Linux server administration
- Strong front‑end skills in Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript
- Demonstrable experience with WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify customisations
- Familiarity with implementing conversion/event tracking using Google Tag Manager or similar tools
- Comfortable working fixed night shifts from our Noida Sector 62 office
- Effective communicator in English for documentation and collaboration
- Provision and maintain Linux servers on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Route 53)
- Configure Nginx/Apache, SSL, firewalls, and automated daily backups
- Set up basic CI/CD pipelines for zero‑downtime deployments
Quality & Performance
- Write reusable, PSR‑12‑compliant code with unit tests where sensible
- Monitor application performance, debug production issues, and apply security patches promptlyRequired Qualifications
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- Experience with Redis/Memcached for caching
- Exposure to serverless components (AWS Lambda, API Gateway)
- Basic knowledge of Docker or container orchestration
