Overview
We are seeking an experienced Remote Software Engineer – Ruby to join our team at Turing, working on large language model (LLM) evaluation and training datasets. As a tech lead level engineer, you will contribute to building verifiable software engineering tasks based on public repository histories using a synthetic approach with a human-in-the-loop.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of LLM evaluation and training datasets by building verifiable software engineering tasks
- Work on development environment automation to improve efficiency and productivity
- Triage issues and evaluate test coverage and quality to ensure high-quality datasets
- Collaborate with the team to expand dataset coverage to include different types of tasks across programming languages and difficulty levels
- Participate in hands-on software engineering work, including development, testing, and evaluation
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in LLMs and software engineering
Requirements
- Experience as a software engineer (tech lead level) with a strong background in Ruby
- Familiarity with high-quality public GitHub repositories and software engineering best practices
- Strong understanding of development environment automation, issue triaging, and test coverage evaluation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work remotely and collaborate with a distributed team
