Medical Records Manager at Backpack Healthcare

Overview

Backpack Healthcare is seeking an experienced Medical Records & Health Information Manager to build and lead our Health Information Management (HIM) function from the ground up. As a key member of our team, you will create scalable processes, influence organizational strategy, and ensure the highest standards of privacy, compliance, and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Lead all medical records and health information management functions, including designing and implementing efficient systems and processes
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of health information management with other departments
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and other financial plans to support the growth of the HIM function
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure the highest standards of health information management

Requirements

• Experience in health information management, preferably in a leadership or management role
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including HIPAA and other healthcare-related regulations
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
• Ability to design and implement efficient systems and processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically

Benefits
