Overview
Mercury is building a banking charter and requires a Head of Technical Program Management to lead the effort. As the master builder, you will hold the entire program in your head, sequencing work and ensuring it all stands up. You will act as the control center for all banking workstreams, including core banking build, compliance, and governance.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical program management for banking, ensuring architectural coherence across engineering, product, design, and data teams
- Sequence work and make sure it all stands up, reconciling ambitions with technical realities
- Act as the control center for all banking workstreams, including core banking build, compliance, and governance
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Mercury’s banking technology stack and infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure program goals are met and issues are resolved
- Communicate program status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including executive leadership
Requirements
- Experience in technical program management, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
- Strong technical background, with a deep understanding of software development and engineering principles
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions
