Responsibilities

• Lead a team of full-stack engineers operating business-critical systems that power notifications for millions of users
• Own the platform and infrastructure that powers every notification Discord sends
• Optimize notifications globally across types using the orchestration layer
• Develop and maintain the in-app notifications center and user-facing settings and client experience
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve user experience
• Drive technical vision and strategy for the Notifications team, aligning with company goals

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with 2+ years in a technical leadership role
• Strong technical skills in full-stack development, with expertise in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and containerization (e.g., AWS, Docker)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive technical vision and strategy
• Passion for gaming and online communities, with a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors
