Overview
Dropbox’s Design team is seeking a Director of Product Design to define the next generation of product experiences and infrastructure. In this role, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution for the systems, patterns, and operating model that shape how Dropbox builds coherent, high-quality, multi-product experiences at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead the vision, strategy, and execution for product design systems, patterns, and operating models
- Define and maintain the overall product design strategy and vision
- Develop and manage the product design team, including hiring, mentoring, and career development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and research
- Drive design decisions with data-driven insights and user research
- Ensure design quality, consistency, and coherence across multiple products and experiences
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product design, with 5+ years in a leadership role
- Strong portfolio of product design work, showcasing strategic thinking and design excellence
- Experience leading and managing high-performing design teams
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of design systems, patterns, and operating models
