Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement observability tools and systems to monitor and improve the performance of Twilio’s products and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize observability requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs
- Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide insights into system performance and health
- Work with engineers to implement logging, tracing, and monitoring solutions to improve system visibility and debugging capabilities
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 coverage of Twilio’s systems and services
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in observability and DevOps, applying that knowledge to improve Twilio’s observability capabilities
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or observability engineering role, with a focus on designing and implementing monitoring and logging systems
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services, such as AWS or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
