Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations (CloudOps) Engineer with strong problem-solving capabilities. In this role, you will support hosted customers, handle software installations and configurations, and perform continuous systems analysis. Responsibilities include technical customer support, systems administration, and database management for SaaS server technologies in customer-hosted environments. You will oversee tasks like installation, configuration, monitoring, upgrading, and maintaining application servers to ensure maximum system availability, security, and performance.
This position is based in our Mumbai, India office, reporting to the onsite CloudOps Lead.
Key Objectives
Objective #1: Support Customer Growth
- Foster a DevOps culture across the organization.
- Deploy and manage multi-cloud infrastructure for prospects and hosted customers.
- Perform daily system administration tasks to exceed uptime SLA expectations.
- Collaborate with Development and QA teams to enhance platform deployment processes.
- Follow compliance policies for efficient change management.
Objective #2: Eliminate Escalations
- Partner with leadership to drive the organizational delivery strategy forward.
- Enhance monitoring systems to proactively address issues before customers are affected.
- Contribute to a shared script repository for scalable solutions.
- Help build a department resource library to facilitate effective knowledge sharing.
- Participate in project, initiative, and incident response calls as required.
- Occasionally support after-hours maintenance and critical coverage shifts.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and security best practices to ensure data integrity.
Specialized Experience
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with a global team.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to systematically collect and analyze data.
- Familiarity with underlying technologies such as SQL, HTTP, SSL, DNS, load balancers, VPCs, Transit Gateway, VPN, caching, and more.
- Proficiency with DevOps tools like Git, Kaseya, PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, Docker, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
