Data Center Tech – Microsoft Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Technician to join our team at Microsoft. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain data center equipment, including servers, storage systems, and network devices
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with data center equipment and infrastructure
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as backups, firmware updates, and hardware upgrades
• Collaborate with other teams, including engineering, operations, and security, to ensure seamless data center operations
• Develop and implement procedures for data center operations, including emergency response plans and disaster recovery procedures
• Monitor data center performance and capacity, and make recommendations for improvements and upgrades

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a data center environment, with a focus on technical operations and maintenance
• Strong knowledge of data center equipment, including servers, storage systems, and network devices
• Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with data center equipment and infrastructure
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with other teams and stakeholders
