Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain large-scale Ruby applications for the Agent Observability team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality, readable, and well-documented code
- Contribute to the development of GitLab’s AI-powered features and workflows
- Work with the team to resolve complex technical issues and improve overall system performance
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to continuously improve our products and processes
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and software design patterns
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (Git)
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into manageable parts
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
