Overview
Databricks is seeking an experienced AI Engineer – Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to join our team in the United Kingdom. As an AI FDE, you will be part of a highly specialized customer-facing AI team that delivers professional services engagements to help customers build and productionize first-of-its-kind AI applications.
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional services engagements to help customers build and productionize AI applications
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and developer relations teams to shape long-term strategic priorities and initiatives
- Support internal subject matter expert (SME) teams and collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions
- Develop and implement AI applications using Databricks’ technology and expertise
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop proposals and presentations
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to customers and internal teams on AI-related projects
Requirements
- Strong experience in AI and machine learning, with a focus on building and deploying AI applications
- Experience working with customers and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience with Databricks’ technology and expertise, or similar cloud-based data engineering platforms
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
