Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer – Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to join our team at Databricks. As an AI FDE, you will be part of a highly specialized customer-facing AI team, delivering professional services engagements to help customers build and productionize first-of-its-kind AI applications.
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional services engagements to help customers build and productionize AI applications
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and developer relations teams to shape long-term strategic priorities and initiatives
- Support internal subject matter expert (SME) teams and collaborate with teammates to fuel curiosity for the latest trends in GenAI, LLMOps, and ML
- Develop and implement AI solutions that meet customer needs and exceed their expectations
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to customers and internal teams on AI adoption and implementation
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in AI, ML, and related technologies
Requirements
- Strong experience in AI, ML, or related field, with a focus on delivery of AI solutions to customers
- Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with AI and ML frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, teammates, and stakeholders
