    Are you a skilled developer who excels at bending WordPress and PHP to your will? Brand Guide Studio, a creative development team in Kolkata, is searching for an experienced WordPress & PHP Developer to join them on-site.

    This role is perfect for a technical problem-solver who can build custom themes, develop unique plugins, and manage the full lifecycle of client websites. If you have at least 2 years of hands-on experience building custom web solutions with PHP and the WordPress ecosystem, we want to hear from you.

    This full-time role offers a fantastic work-life balance with a Monday-to-Friday schedule (Saturdays and Sundays off).

    What You Will Do (Responsibilities)

    As the WordPress & PHP Developer, you will be the technical backbone of the company’s web projects. Your primary duties will include:

    • Developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites from start to finish.
    • Creating and modifying custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific project needs.
    • Working directly with PHP to build robust back-end components and custom APIs.
    • Optimizing website performance and ensuring all projects are fully responsive across all devices.
    • Troubleshooting and resolving technical bugs or issues on live websites quickly and efficiently.
    • Collaborating closely with the design and content teams to implement site features and new functionality.
    • Maintaining website security, performing regular updates, and participating in team code reviews.

    What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

    We are looking for a candidate with deep technical knowledge of the WordPress platform and the PHP language.

    • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in both WordPress and PHP development.
    • Strong, proven knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and MySQL.
    • Hands-on experience with popular page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, etc.
    • The ability to write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
    • Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git).
    • A solid understanding of SEO best practices from a development perspective.
    • A problem-solving mindset with sharp attention to detail.
    • Bonus Skills: Direct experience with WooCommerce, knowledge of REST APIs, and familiarity with website hosting/deployment processes.
