Founded in 2019 by Vishal Chopra and Himanshu Gupta, WeRize is creating India’s largest full-stack fintech platform, catering to 500 million underserved middle-class customers in over 5,000 small towns. WeRize (Wortgage Technologies Pvt Ltd) also operates an RBI-registered NBFC subsidiary (Wortgage Finance Pvt Ltd). These customers, often overlooked by private sector banks, insurers, and mutual fund companies due to low ticket sizes and lifetime value, primarily rely on PSU/Government banks, which offer limited financial products beyond basic savings accounts. As a result, access to unsecured loans, MSME loans, credit cards, affordable housing loans, health and life insurance, and investment products is scarce.
WeRize addresses this gap by offering innovative unsecured consumer credit, mortgages, loans against property, MSME loans, savings, and insurance products designed specifically for this segment, considering their needs and purchasing power. The company aims to enhance financial security for these customers and expand their access to credit. WeRize has pioneered a unique solution with its “Finance ki online dukaan” (the social Shopify of Finance), a social distribution platform that empowers local financially literate freelancers to educate and assist customers in purchasing financial products both online and offline. These freelancers, based in over 5,000 towns and cities, can earn up to INR 30,000 per month through WeRize commissions.
This platform allows WeRize to maintain extremely low customer acquisition and operational costs, outperforming both fully digital and traditional on-the-ground financial services providers. While companies like LIC and Fino Bank rely on local teams to manage freelancers, leading to high costs, WeRize uses its tech platform to train and manage thousands of freelancers without a physical team, resulting in a highly profitable business model. Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Software Development Engineer I (Frontend) with strong experience in React.js to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for building seamless, user-friendly web applications with meticulous attention to detail. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver dynamic frontend solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Frontend Development: Build and maintain high-performance, responsive web applications using React.js.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend developers to implement new features and improve existing ones.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code while adhering to React and JavaScript best practices.
- Optimization: Ensure the performance, security, and scalability of web applications.
- Testing: Conduct unit testing and collaborate with the QA team for smooth releases.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve bugs and issues promptly.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- React.js Experience: 1-2 years of hands-on experience in React.js and its core principles.

- State Management: Experience with Redux, Context API, or other state management libraries.
- Version Control: Proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration.
