S&P Global Market Intelligence is searching for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join their cutting-edge Data Science and Research team in Ahmedabad.
This is a unique and critical opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering, generative AI, and global financial data. We are seeking a senior engineer who can design, develop, and productionize the cloud-native applications that power our next-generation AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions.
This role requires a technical expert with 5–8 years of experience, a strong background in Python, proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, and deep expertise in the AWS ecosystem. You will be responsible for the complete development lifecycle of cloud-based services, integrating complex data science models into scalable, secure, and high-performance full-stack applications.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Full Stack Developer on the Data Science team, you will:
- Architect, develop, and deploy cloud-native, full-stack applications and services on AWS.
- Take the lead in productionizing data science solutions, including NLP and Generative AI models.
- Build and maintain robust, scalable back-end services and APIs using Python (likely with frameworks like Flask or FastAPI).
- Develop responsive, modern front-end web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (such as React, Angular, or Vue).
- Implement and manage sophisticated continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Automate cloud infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code (including unit, integration, and performance tests).
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, product owners, and other engineers in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot application performance and cloud infrastructure costs.
Required Skills & Experience
This is a senior role requiring a specific blend of data, cloud, and development expertise:
- Experience: A minimum of 5–8 years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Back-End Expertise: Strong proficiency in Python and experience building RESTful APIs (using frameworks like Flask, FastAPI, etc.).
- Front-End Expertise: Proven experience building front-end applications with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Cloud Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with AWS cloud services. This must include containerization (Docker, ECS/EKS), serverless computing (Lambda), message queues (SQS), and storage (S3).
- Data/AI Familiarity: Must have experience working closely with data science teams. Knowledge of (or strong enthusiasm for) integrating machine learning models, NLP concepts, or Generative AI is essential for this role.
- DevOps Skills: Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and infrastructure automation (IaC).
- Methodology: Proven ability to thrive in an Agile development environment.
