Overview
Amazon is seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Software Development team in India. As a Senior SDE, you will play a key role in designing, planning, delivering, and operating all AWS global infrastructure. Our team owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy large-scale software applications and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain technical roadmaps and architectures for AWS infrastructure services
- Lead and mentor junior engineers to help them grow in their careers
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop solutions to improve system reliability and performance
- Work with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain to ensure seamless customer experience
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software development with a strong background in computer science and software engineering
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles, including design, development, testing, and deployment
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
