About the Role
As a full-time contributor based in Pune, you will work closely with Seagate Research Architects and leads on cutting-edge storage technology projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Investigating emerging data storage technologies driven by AI, ML, and mobility trends.
- Exploring innovative approaches to electronic hardware modeling and data processing using next-gen technologies like computational storage.
- Conducting in-depth surveys of public and enterprise forums to build technology models, generate new ideas, and collaborate with senior engineers on proof-of-concept architecture development.
- Researching new advancements in storage components, data creation models, and storage security mechanisms.
- Documenting current and future storage architectures tailored for a variety of applications.
- Contributing research insights to support future Seagate product development and reference architectures.
- Collaborating with domain experts across Seagate’s global locations.
- Writing internal and external research papers, and engaging with your academic institution to apply academic insights to real-world storage challenges.
About You
- A creative, self-motivated individual with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in India while enrolled in a degree program.
- Comfortable working in both Unix-based and Windows environments.
- A strong team player capable of effective communication with diverse technical teams.
- Experienced in conducting deep technical research and presenting findings to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with C/C++ programming at a graduate research level.
Your Experience Includes
- Solid knowledge of C/C++ programming (a core requirement).
- Exposure to storage systems and embedded environments.
- Familiarity with Python programming and AI/ML techniques (preferred but not mandatory).
