- Responsible for design, coding, testing, bug fixing, documentation, and technical support in the assigned area, ensuring timely delivery while meeting quality and productivity standards.
- Adheres to guidelines and checklists for all deliverable reviews, communicates status reports to the team lead, and follows relevant organizational processes.
- Expected to enhance technical skills through training, self-study, and periodic assessments.
Education and Experience Required
- Engineering graduate, MCA, or equivalent

Competencies Description
- Protocol Testing Engineers engage in activities related to 2G, 3G, LTE, and 5G technologies, including:
- Modem/UE Protocol Stack Testing
- Interoperability testing of the modem with various network operators, collaborating with NEM labs (Ericsson, Nokia, Alcatel Lucent)
- Ability to comprehend network scenarios (signaling and user plane call flow), develop test plans and test cases, and execute these test cases using an automation framework. Responsible for collecting necessary logs and analyzing/debugging issues encountered during regression testing.
- Proficient in all 3GPP Radio Access Technologies (RAT), including air interface, network signaling, Layer 2, Layer 3 protocols for UE and RAN, and NAS layer from UE and core network.
- Experience in automation using scripting languages such as PERL, Python, or TTCN.

Technology Standards
- Thorough understanding of 3GPP specifications and network vendor tests
Tools
- Familiarity with tools such as QXDM, QCAT, QPST, Prism, Anritsu, Keysight test instruments, test scripting (e.g., RTD for Anritsu), trace/log collection tools, core dump analysis tools, and flashing tools.
Languages
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Shell scripts, TCL scripts, Python, and Perl, as well as C, C++, and TTCN.
