General Purpose
As a Junior Data & Platform Engineer in the EU Digital Analytics team at adidas, you will be part of a dynamic, multinational, and agile team. Your primary focus will be on developing, maintaining, and enhancing digital data products. Reporting to the Manager of ML Ops & Data Engineering, based in our Gurgaon Tech Hub, you will collaborate closely with data analysts, scientists, and engineers both locally and in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the EU eCommerce Digital data assets, building data pipelines in our Global Data Lakehouse, and ensuring Power BI dashboards are aligned with best practices in governance, security, scalability, and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Monitoring:
- Develop data pipelines using Apache Spark in a cloud environment.
- Build fact tables for use by the analytics team in Databricks Lakehouse.
- Write and maintain code in SQL, Python, and/or Scala.
- Implement process automation through CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Write clean, well-structured, and well-documented code with tests.
- Participate in Sprint rituals alongside the EU eCom team in Amsterdam and data engineers in Gurgaon.
- Implement new reporting structures as needed.
- Ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and quality across all outputs.
- Monitor the health of critical data pipelines and establish automated monitoring processes.
Power BI Reports Governance:
- Perform basic updates and enhancements to Power BI dashboards based on analyst requests.
- Coordinate with analysts and the PBI platform team to set up relevant Power BI workspaces across environments.
- Manage and maintain user group security by setting up and overseeing Ad groups.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and internal guidelines for Power BI reports in terms of governance, security, accessibility, and scalability.
