Job Description
Cloud Foundations Services (CFS) plays a vital role in delivering critical cloud services for Oracle Global Industry Unit applications. With Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), a second-generation Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), CFS supports the development of high-performance, reliable, and elastic Software as a Service (SaaS) applications. The team focuses on providing a microservice-driven platform, software delivery tools, and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) operations to optimize service availability and scalability.
We are seeking a Member of Technical Staff to join our microservices platform development team.
Career Level: IC2
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with highly skilled engineers to develop new features and improve existing ones using agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Embrace a DevOps environment, where developers take ownership as operators.
- Use Everything-As-Code principles for traceability, configurability, and repeatability.
- Provide technical expertise in refining user stories and implementing features, adhering to coding standards and architectural guidelines.
- Review and contribute to code discussions, creating merge requests and following the MR process.
- Document architectural decisions, best practices, and lessons learned.
- Attend required training to ensure compliance with Oracle and CFS standards.
- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
- Linux development (Oracle Linux).
- Experience with Containers & Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Strong knowledge of Python and bash scripting.
- Expertise in git (GitLab) and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence).
Bonus Skills & Experience
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications (Architect, Infrastructure, Database).
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
- Familiarity with RESTful API microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or other monitoring solutions (e.g., Datadog, Splunk).
- Strong understanding of Computer Networking (OSI layers, HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP).
