About the Role
The SaaS Observability team aims to provide top-tier observability services for Oracle’s SaaS engineering units with an integrated, end-to-end approach. Our backend team develops and maintains microservices using Golang, deployed on Kubernetes, to manage cloud infrastructure. These services support telemetry data ingestion, metrics, logs, traces, and API alerting through custom codebases and open-source projects like OpenTelemetry, Mimir, Loki, and Tempo, alongside integrations with tools like Grafana.
Our globally-deployed backend systems serve thousands of SaaS engineers and handle vast amounts of telemetry data and queries. We continuously work on enhancing performance, reliability, and efficiency.
We are seeking a junior engineer (0-2+ years of experience) for backend development and operations in SaaS Observability. This role requires collaborative skills and openness to diverse perspectives.
Ideal Qualifications
- Education: BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
- Languages: Proficiency in Go, Rust, Java, or C++ (Go preferred)
- Experience: Coursework or relevant experience in distributed systems, application development, networks, machine learning, or AI
Bonus Skills
- Experience with Golang microservices
- Experience deploying on Kubernetes
- Familiarity with cloud providers (OCI, AWS, GCP, Azure)
