WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Site Reliability Engineering is part of Resilience Engineering. You will collaborate with application teams to develop software solutions ensuring reliability and operability of large-scale systems supporting mission-critical use cases. Work with internal and external teams to build automation tools and implement SRE best practices.

This role reports to the Manager of Site Reliability Engineering and involves working with SRE teams across multiple geographies.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As a site reliability engineer, you will focus on maximizing availability, observability, reliability, security, and performance for Nike Digital Experiences.
SREs conduct deep problem analysis, detect infrastructure or code issues, define and create observability processes for KPIs, and collaborate with product delivery teams to provide long-term solutions to production issues.
- Observe, diagnose, and quickly develop fixes for production issues
- Develop real-time monitoring solutions to improve site visibility and performance metrics
- Communicate issues and impacts clearly, with confidence in reporting key metrics to leadership
- Work across business and technical teams to analyze system performance, troubleshoot issues, and identify optimization areas
- Manage and lead reliability practices for web and mobile experiences
- Demonstrate strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Coach, teach, mentor, and continuously learn
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience with AWS cloud and IaC
- 1-3 years of software development experience with Java/Python/JavaScript or modern OOP languages
- Basic experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar container technologies
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins 2.0
- Knowledge of GitHub for version control and Jira for issue tracking
- Understanding of observability tools like Splunk, SignalFx, or New Relic
- Familiarity with NoSQL and SQL data strategies for secure, reliable, and high-performing data storage
