MediaOcean – Associate Software Engineer (DevOps)

Responsibilities:

• Work with technologies like containerization, Helm, Kubernetes, AWS, Linux, shell scripting, and CI/CD tools, including Jenkins for automating deployment pipelines.
• Handle an application tech stack comprising microservices, Java, .NET, Spring, Oracle, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Hazelcast, and Redis.
• Innovate and create tools and procedures to enhance deployment processes, system stability, and monitoring capabilities.
• Maintain deployment stability across both non-production and production environments.
• Assess and test new tools by conducting proof of concepts (POCs) to further improve deployment efficiency.
• Ensure smooth release deployments, both for minor patches and major updates, into production environments.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (BE, BTech, MSc, MCA, BSc).
• 0 to 2 years of experience in DevOps, Operations, or Application Development, with a focus on microservices being advantageous.
• A curious mindset with a passion for learning.
• Proactive in identifying and solving problems with a strong sense of responsibility.
• A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
• Ability to understand the broader system architecture and how components interconnect.
• Preferred experience includes exposure to application deployment pipelines, large-scale application systems, containers, Kubernetes, microservices, databases, caching tools, Linux, shell scripting, Python, and Git.
• Additional experience with tools like New Relic, Jenkins, or Kibana is a plus.
