About the Role
As a Software Development Engineer at McCain Foods, you will develop, test, and maintain software applications that drive our business operations and deliver excellent user experiences. Working closely with senior developers, you’ll help design and implement new features, troubleshoot and resolve software issues, and ensure our systems run smoothly and securely.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior developers to design and build new features.
- Debug and resolve issues in existing applications.
- Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with the team.
- Develop and maintain clear, up-to-date technical documentation.
- Stay current with programming techniques and tools to enhance development efficiency.
- Support the development and optimization of machine learning models.
- Analyze large datasets to uncover insights and trends.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports for business performance monitoring.
- Ensure network security and compliance with industry standards.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and deliver data solutions.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents to protect company data and systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or C++.
- Experience with statistical methods and SQL for data analysis.
- Basic understanding of network protocols and cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies and methods.
- Strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
