JSON Objects

What is a JSON Object?

At its core, a JSON object is a collection of key-value pairs enclosed in curly braces {}. Each key is a string, and it is followed by a colon : and a value. JSON objects can contain:

Syntax Rules

  • Data is separated by commas.
  • Curly braces hold objects.
  • Square brackets hold arrays.

This JSON object includes:

Working with JSON in JavaScript

In JavaScript, JSON data is often received as a string from a web server. You can convert it into a JavaScript object using JSON.parse():
