Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking early-career professionals with 0-5 years of experience in development, whether it’s frontend, backend, full-stack, or QA/test automation. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a passion for learning IBM and open-source technologies, especially in Automation and Process Mining.
You’ll be a proactive self-starter who works well independently and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask are essential, as you’ll be part of a key project that’s central to IBM’s new Automation strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand user needs and deliver user-centered design solutions.
- Build, test, deploy, maintain, and support high-quality code.
- Use modern tools and techniques to develop clean, efficient, reusable code.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java and Python (or similar scripting languages).
- Experience with React, Redux, Node.js, JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, CSS.
- Familiarity with testing tools such as Jest, Cypress, and Codecept.
- Understanding of API-driven development and API testing/automation.
- Hands-on experience with test automation using tools like Ansible and Python.
- Proficiency with GitHub for source code control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Familiarity with cloud services (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP).
- DevOps experience.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Red Hat OpenShift.
- Experience with Linux systems.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
