Overview

We’re looking for a highly technical, hands-on, and empathetic Engineering Manager to lead one of our full stack squads in our Revenue organization. This is a high-impact role where you’ll be directly responsible for one of Discord’s major business lines, delivering premium experiences that create real value for users while driving company revenue.
Responsibilities
- Lead a full stack squad in the Revenue organization, driving technical direction and strategy
- Partner closely with Product to define and execute on long-term product vision and roadmap
- Develop and manage the squad’s technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
- Drive technical innovation and experimentation, identifying opportunities to improve user experience and revenue growth
- Mentor and coach engineers, providing guidance on technical skills and career development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Marketing, to deliver premium user experiences
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role
- Strong technical skills in full stack development, with expertise in languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Ruby
- Proven track record of delivering high-impact technical projects, with a focus on user experience and revenue growth
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in mentoring and coaching engineers
