Platform Engineer – DevOps
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Platform Engineer – DevOps to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in DevOps practices, cloud technologies, and platform engineering. This role requires a strong foundation in Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and modern CI/CD practices, as well as programming skills and a passion for observability and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain our Kubernetes and ECS based infrastructure.
- Manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure on AWS and data-center infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI or Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Implement and manage continuous deployment strategies using tools such as ArgoCD.
- Write clean, efficient code in Python and Golang to automate processes and create tools.
- Implement and maintain observability solutions to ensure system health and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve application deployments and infrastructure reliability.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles
- Intermediate level knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Must have strong programming skills in Python or Golang
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Bitbucket Pipelines
- Familiarity with continuous deployment tools like ArgoCD or FluxCD
- Solid understanding of observability principles and experience implementing monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Golang programming language
- Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools such as Loki or ELK stack, Grafana, Victoria Metrics or Prometheus.
- Familiarity with API gateways, particularly Kong or AWS API Gateway
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or OpenTofu
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies
- Understanding of security best practices in cloud and container environments
