Position Overview
As a Technical Specialist – Cloud Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering key components of engineering solutions that meet business objectives. Your primary duties include contributing to the design and development of new features, ensuring maintainability, and supporting the successful integration of solutions into the overall environment. You will also guide and mentor junior team members as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop source code, including CI/CD pipelines and configurations for software components, following detailed specifications.
- Provide high-quality development for cloud infrastructure components, including security, networking, storage, and infrastructure as code.
- Debug, fix, and support Level 2 and Level 3 teams.
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to quality assurance through unit testing.
- Implement architectural changes as defined by Architects.
- Perform root cause analysis and problem-solving.
- Integrate software components, ensuring consistency with the integration strategy.
- Conduct software testing and resolve any issues found.
- Manage Change Items (CIs) and develop deployment routines when necessary.
- Collaborate with other teams in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Continuously suggest and implement technical improvements for scalability, reliability, and performance.
Skills and Experience
General Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent, with a minor in Finance, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, fluent in English.
- Ability to work in virtual teams and matrixed organizations.
- Open-minded, collaborative team player.
- Knowledge of cloud-native systems and relevant financial services experience.
- Ability to balance business needs with IT solutions, standardization, and flexibility.
Domain-Specific Skills:
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and cloud services (IAAS, PAAS, SAAS).
- Experience with Cloud-native development, DevOps, API management, and Networking.
- Proficiency in Java or Python and understanding of ETL/Data pipelines.
- Familiarity with tools and processes such as HP ALM, Jira, ServiceNow, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
