Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team at BP, India. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, installing, testing, and maintaining highly scalable data management systems. You will play a critical role in building the infrastructure that allows for the generation, collection, and analysis of large datasets.
Responsibilities
- Develop, construct, test, and maintain architecture such as databases and large-scale processing systems
- Ensure that architectures support data analytics and business intelligence applications
- Design and implement data pipelines and workflows to support data integration and processing
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide technical support
- Troubleshoot and resolve data management system issues and outages
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and make recommendations for adoption
Requirements
- Strong experience in designing and implementing data management systems
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases
