Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Counsel, Product & Regulatory – Payments & AML to join our team at Mercury. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our product and regulatory strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and mitigating risk.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance on product development, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement regulatory frameworks
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate potential risks
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry partners
- Analyze and interpret regulatory requirements, providing guidance to the business
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies
Requirements
- J.D. or equivalent law degree
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the financial services or technology industry
- Strong knowledge of payments and AML regulations
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
