    Key Responsibilities

    As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the core middleware systems. Your duties will include:

    • Installing, configuring, and maintaining middleware products, including WebSphere, Tomcat, IIS, and Apache.
    • Providing ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for middleware infrastructure to ensure high availability.
    • Performing performance tuning and optimization of application server environments.
    • Developing and maintaining scripts (Shell, Perl, Python) to automate administrative tasks and streamline processes.
    • Participating in a 24×7 on-call rotation to provide critical support for production environments.
    • Collaborating with application development teams, system administrators, and network engineers to resolve issues.
    • Utilizing monitoring tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, and Dynatrace to proactively identify and address potential problems.

    Skills and Qualifications

    To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 5 to 9 years of professional experience in Middleware Administration.
    • Expert-level knowledge of WebSphere Application Server, IBM HTTP Server, Apache, Tomcat, and IIS.
    • Proven experience with monitoring and log analysis tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk).
    • Strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, Perl, or PowerShell for automation.
    • Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL), and security principles.
    • Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
