Overview
Marqeta is seeking an experienced Assistant General Counsel, Corporate to join our team. As a senior member of the Corporate Legal team, you will be the right-hand to the Deputy General Counsel on all things corporate and securities.
Responsibilities
- Own core SEC reporting workstreams and drive corporate governance
- Support the Board and its committees
- Serve as the primary drafter of the company’s proxy statement and related disclosure materials
- Provide practical, actionable guidance for a fast-moving executive team
- Translate complex legal obligations into actionable guidance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve company goals
Requirements
- Meaningful experience in public company securities and governance work
- Strong knowledge of disclosure craft and SEC reporting
- Ability to translate complex legal obligations into practical guidance
- Strong instincts about what boards and investors care about
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
