Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer – Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to join our team at Databricks. As an AI FDE, you will be part of a highly specialized customer-facing AI team that delivers professional services engagements to help customers build and productionize first-of-its-kind AI applications.
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional services engagements to help customers build and productionize AI applications
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and developer relations teams to shape long-term strategic priorities and initiatives
- Support internal subject matter expert (SME) teams and contribute to the overall strength of the team
- Collaborate with customers, teammates, and stakeholders to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning models and applications
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in GenAI, LLMOps, and ML
Requirements
- Strong experience in AI and machine learning, with a focus on delivering customer-facing solutions
- Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and platforms, such as AWS or Azure
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
