Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our team at Better Futures Multi-Academy Trust, a group of sixth form colleges based in the UK Midlands. As a Full Stack Developer, you will have the opportunity to shape our products, ARC and Swaya, which aim to change how leadership development and student feedback work in education and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain our 360-degree leadership platform, ARC, and student feedback app, Swaya
- Collaborate with our team to identify and prioritize product features and requirements
- Design, develop, and test new features and updates for our products
- Work with our dev team to ensure high-quality code and best practices
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our products
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong portfolio of work
- Strong proficiency in Ruby, React Native, and mobile development
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and optimize code
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with experience working in a collaborative environment
- A passion for education and making a positive impact on students and leaders
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of £25,200-£30,000 (pro-rata from £42,000-£50,000 FTE), as well as the opportunity to work on products that can make a real difference in education. You will also have the chance to work remotely, with regular in-person days in the UK Midlands.
