Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance backend services for Zepto’s core quick-commerce platform, handling massive transaction volumes.
- Architect and implement mission-critical components for our high-throughput order management systems, ensuring seamless and efficient processing from order placement to delivery.
- Utilize and optimize modern backend technologies including Go for primary development, Kubernetes for robust service orchestration, and Redis for efficient caching and data storage.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions and deliver features end-to-end.
- Ensure the highest standards of code quality, testability, and maintainability through rigorous code reviews, comprehensive unit testing, and integration testing practices.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing systems to continuously improve performance, scalability, and stability, proactively identifying and resolving potential bottlenecks.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in backend software development, preferably in a high-growth startup, e-commerce, or quick-commerce environment.
- Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with the Go programming language (Golang) for building scalable and concurrent backend applications.
- Demonstrable experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically Kubernetes, for deploying, managing, and scaling microservices in production.
- Solid expertise in working with Redis for caching, pub/sub messaging, or as a primary data store, with a clear understanding of its performance characteristics and various use cases.
- Excellent understanding of distributed systems principles, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and database technologies (both SQL and NoSQL).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience and a strong portfolio of relevant work.
